It's our dream home.

The new Home & Decor magazine is out! We have never missed an issue when we started to think of our renovation. And why do I especially talk about this issue is because there is a home featured in it which is almost near to our dream home- titled Creative Home!

The black floor tiles which mr bf likes and the white brick wall which I heart.

We ever told our ID about our likings, but have no courage and no idea how to move on with it. At this stage, we lagi have no courage to tell our ID and make the tremendous change.

Actually, there is a similarity there. We will also be doing the raw cement look for our foyer, except that it is not extending into the kitchen. That quirky bookshelf as a divider, I have ever asked for a more symmetrical one from our ID, but it's going to cost us $1680, thus, we kept it under optional.

So, it's only the floor tiles that we need to change isn't it? If we are going to change it, it would be the 6th time we visit Hafary liaoz... keke... and it will be the 5th time we change our mind for the living/ dining floor tiles liao.

Now now, what should we do? Both me and mr bf in dilemma again. Should we copy and paste? Should we stick to the current? Ahh... why the 3D drawing took so long to come out? ok ok... I think we shall wait for the 3D drawing and decide.

What is next?

Tugged myself in the forum, reading up on lightings, washing machine and fridge. I think my hair is going to drop a little more than usual, more fine lines are going to reveal and my forehead is not going to stop breaking out.

Now, we need to discuss if a dryer is necessary.

Purchases at Teka

Teka is having a Store Wide 20% Sales, with selected items up to 60% off. I asked about the coming GSS. The sales exec said this is even more attractive than GSS. Don't know true or not. Anyway, I still made my purchase today. A bit Kiasu. And, I made the decision without Mr Bf.

1) Tempered glass hob. May consider a 2 burner one. The length is 86cm. Find it a bit long.

2) Hood at 90cm. May change to 70cm if I am changing the hob.

3) This is like a compact size oven. Smaller than the normal conventional oven. Can bake spring chicken. I think it's just nice for the 2 of us. Didn't think I will need an oven, but Mr Bf wants it.
It's a great buy. Usual Price was $1200 and it is now having a 41% discount! Sales person told us we bought the last set. Like it's stainless steel finishing. Not digital though. But it's ok lah, as long as it looks clean and neat can liaoz....

Jalan Besar | Hafary

Hello!!

Today, at Jalan Besar, we dropped by Royal Franco and Poh Joo to understand better about the kitchen sink and tap, wc and basin, hob, hood and oven. It's quite an eye-opening for two big children like us... hehe.... After consulting our ID, we would required to get the hob, hood and oven first for the carpenters to take the dimension. Most likely, we would choose between cuizino and rinnai. Mr Bf doesn't like tempered glass hood, so only stainless steel. *shrugged*

Oh yes, and lighting is part of the top priority too.

It's the 4th time I stepped into Hafary. We must have broken the record. Steven and Max made time to meet us there. The golden hair disciple was with them too. The tile selection is FINAL! We told ourselves- No more changes!!!

1) Living/ Dining Floor tiles- we changed to $2.90 psf

2) Kitchen Floor - Love this tile. It's recommended by the sales girl and we almost use this for our living flooring to create the urban rustic look. After much discussion, our ID still think a whiter tile will suit our house better.

3) This is for common toilets. The top row are for walls. The bottom is tile and pebbles for the floor. Wall tiles looks warm beige in actual. Mind my phone camera. =p Softer and more subtle as compared to my MBR's. More comfortable to the eyes.
4) Lastly, MBR wall and floor tiles. We have changed to another rustic looking tile to replace the previous one. Max was quite fascinated by it. I hope it will turn out well.
That's about it. It's final!!! And we shall sit and wait for the 3D drawing and lighting plan in early May. =)

2 Hours @ Hafary

We spent for almost 2 hours!! And it was the master bedroom toilet's tiles that took us the longest. The 3 men like a funky and modern toilet when I like it warm and elegant. I am dead beat. He is complaining headache already. Max was telling Steven it is so difficult to catch the style of our liking. I total agreed with him because we are fickle, especially me. I like anything that is nice despite of concept. hehe....

By looking at the sample, I am also wondering what took us this long. Now, the tiles look almost similar to me. Duhz. No mosaic, no prints, just 2 different type of tiles each, for both common and MBR toilets.

1) The common toilet wall and floor tiles. The fastest decision made for because we are tired already. We agreed on every ideas provided by Steven.

2) These are the ones that gave us headache. MBR toilet tiles. Colors chosen by me. Design idea given by Max. The more I look at the contrast the more I like it. I told Mr Bf to be prepared for a simple but yet dramatic toilet. It's not a safe play. Hopefully, it will turn out nice.

3) Kitchen floor tiles. Not too difficult. Mr Bf like it and Steven strongly recommended it. Thus, I agreed to it.

4) Lastly, Living/ Dining homogeneous tiles. Mr Bf did not mind topping another $0.60psf for this. It's whiter and nicer. Quickly, I agreed to it. =p

Expecting to see the 3D drawings in early May only. That's about 2 weeks! Embrace.
