my first mentioning of regrets.

One thing that I regretted not doing.
That's not doing the tiles for the kitchen walls.
Now, I dream my kitchen will be tiled the same as the kitchen floor. :(

Fulfilled Long Day.

Yesterday was long. I only had about 5 hours of sleep the night before. It began from 1pm. We reached Royal Franco at Jalan Besar and order the toilet accessories. Looking at the time and it was already half past 1400hr, we decided to leave the 2nd half of ordering to today. Then, we drove to Upper Boon Keng Rd to meet our ID for some handover that took only about 15min. After that, we bought some light bites and had them in the car during the journey.

Next is to go for an appointment with my bridal shop at 1530hr at Tanjong Pagar. I had confirmed my evening gown which I changed my mind again to made-to-measure one. Seeing that we still have a bit of time, we went back to Royal Franco to complete our order. Now, we are only short of common toilet basin and tap and some smaller items.

Despite heavy traffic at that peak hour, we went to Evov's new showroom at Balestier Point. It is a bigger store, therefore they are able to congregate all furniture and it was so much more pleasant to look at for the clients like us. I am so glad the designer himself was there. He always filled us with lots of knowledge in appreciating furniture. At least, he helped a lot and gave us lots of assurance on making decisions. He is what I call a real designer! Another thing we like about Evov is that they have beautifully fabricated and own designed pieces as compared to many out there.

The happier thing was, I found a similar coffee table at almost half the original price! Deposit were also made for a set of sofa, 2 dining chairs and 2 stools.

It's quite a damage.

Finally, we got to sit down in the night for dinner and pig-out session with some friends.

We are going to Paris together tonight!

Accumulated Updates.

Hello, it has been awhile since the last post. Up till Thursday, the electrical works has completed, the ceilings are up, lightings were fixed, first coat colors were painted. Also, the house was cleaned for the very first time.

On Thursday, another set of workers were working on the laminate for the rooms and platform. The joins were perfect, no complaints as I cannot find any gaps. However, the trimming around the platform were awful. From far, it looks like scotch tape taping around it. The so called U-shaped trimming is pure white in color and it is quite thick. I have brought it up to ID and he said will help to look for a nearer matching color.

There are a few items that needed to be amend. e.g. some boxed up were slanted and pretty obvious. I showed it personally to my ID. He could only smile and agree.

Ok! It's picture time!!

The beam is so low that the bombshelter door will hit on it when we opened it. So, if we are not careful, we may cause cracks at the beam. Damag done by his workers. Spot it if you can.

Again, spot it if you can. The wall joining was uneven. It looks very obvious after the repaint the wall.

This is what I meant the boxed up is slanted.

Notice the trimming. Isn't it like a masking tape???

He picked the both yellows that never come across my mind. Well, it's called compromising.

Above were some quick snaps of the very Rojak house.
