Aunty Kester bought me to the temple where she always helped out, to ask for a good time to leave home.
To show my grandmother and mum the respect, I went to the temple with my aunty last night immediately after I returned from flight. It was located in a HDB flat and on every Thursday, they are open for all publics to ask "Tua Ya Pei" for blessings for themselves or others. Queue numbers are required. The session begins at 9pm and the tiny flat gets more crowded when the night gets later. These people came from all backgrounds, ages and problems.
Shi fu's wife ever mentioned to my aunt that let modern young people to choose a date they like as nowadays these young couples have their own mindset, most importantly they are happy on their wedding day. Even for her own son, they did not choose a date too.
Finally, it came my turn. Aunty Kester lead the way and did the asking for me. I was asked to kneel down. He spoke in Hokkien. I couldn't really catch what he said but somehow it went like this.
1. When we asked for a good timing for the bride to leave home.
- He said any time is fine. He knows. He watches. Just do not allow a Tiger to open the car door.
2. My grandmother wanted us to ask for a good time for Guo Da Li.
- Guo Da Li can be any time. He knows. He watches.
3. Lastly, we told him from the website's information, the wedding day crashes with my Father-in-law.
- He got angry and scolded my aunty.
- He said he knows. He watched. All this internet thingy is unreal.
Unlike the fortune tellers, he gives blessing and protection in whatever we do. That's how I thought it should be. Also, that's the kind of support I wanted. And! That is how I am more comfortable than all old wives myths.
Thank you Mr Tua Ya Pei. Thank you for watching for us. I love you!!. =)

Cheong Sum.Wedding Photos.Invitation Cards.
The past 4 days were restless. Sometimes, I am not so sure myself what I was busying with. Mum was, every night, warning about my dark cirlces. :(
A little update of the progress for the wedding preparation.
Through recommendation, I finally decided to let Wilson from Max Couture to MTM my Tea Cheong Sum. His professionalism simply won my confidence in him.
A rough description of my CS.
1. Fuschia French lace
2. Turquoise Thai/ Duchess Silk.
3. Short and above knee length.
4. Halter bare back to waist length.
I would love it to be full lace, but he designed it with patch work. Also because, to make a full lace CS with the French lace is out of my budget.
On 24th October, we selected our photos. I kind of regretted in choosing most photos that comes in a series, like telling story. It becomes there do not seem to have much variety.
However, I decided to leave it.
We exchange 4 more photos from not wanting the mini album, coffee table and 4R photos for the relatives. On top of that, we topped another 11 photos that come up to total of 45pcs @ $715 additional. Hehe....
With the hotel coordinator, I have made a few clarification. The invitation card and envelopes were collected. Now, we need to source for better deal to print inserts. Nothing fanciful. Just normal template and printing. :)

2 news
I have got 2 news, 1 good and 1 bad.
The bad news is, a girlfriend who I have always kept her in my heart, even though we have been seeing each other lesser, is unable to attend my wedding due to overseas assignment.
And the good news is, the same girlfriend with full of lobangs found me the person to help with the soundbites with no charge.
Thank you.
To my girlfriend: We must meet up for a pre-wedding dinner.

Robinson Sales | Aussino Sales | Curtains and Blinds.
I touched down on Saturday morning. Bf had an overnight mahjong. Both tired, we hit Expo for the Robinson's sales. Our main objective is to buy bedsheet at discounted price!
Bedsheets are categorised in to Thread Counts. The higher the Thread Count, the better it is. In terms of comfort, softness and lasting. The different type of material like cotton, satin, silk, etc that justify the suitness for different climate or temperature. European and egyptian bedsheets are known better quality.
The range of prices is dramatic. General brands at thread count between 400-500 in King size bedsheet only will cost at least $150 onwards. Quilt covers are most expensive, including pillow cases and bolster case, it can easily cost you $300 ++!!
Better brand can come up to $1k!!! Branded ones are $3k!!!!! Diaoz...
Actually, Robinson departmental stores were having sales for their cardmembers, and it was quite attractive. Knowing Robinson always conduct sales for members only, we decided to send in our applications for it too. =) We thought we will have to wait till we received the approval of the card, then we could make use of the it to enjoy the next sales, but from papers, we found out Robinson's have extended sales and it's more attractive and it's also held at Expo! Therefore, we only paid about $150 for a 420 TC bedsheet!! =) =)
Other than that, we had a good spree. Too many items to state them one by one. From bedlinens to household stuffs. We had so many bags with us, excluding two pillows and an iron board. My pretty auntie tagged along to share her experiences on every thing we bought, making sure we bought the right and useful ones among the so many selections. I gained little knowledges on even smallest things. Even clothes hanger can!
Oh.. harvey norman sales was next door. We wanted just a cheap iron but I never realise iron nowadays have so many function! It can even auto off within 3 seconds it was left untouched. It can even wash on it's own by pressing a button. Wow....!!
Ok.. I am really not very well versed in any household item la... That's why I am pretty amazed by what I have learned.
On Sunday, it was another bedsheet spree. My aunt had a 40% member's birthday month discount at Aussino. And so coincidentally, Aussino is also having sales for selected items. I bought another set of king size bedsheet set (including pillow case) at 400TC, king size quilt cover 340TC, single size quilt cover 340TC, super single size bedsheet set(including pillow case and bolster case), one quilt, and a small pillow at a total of only $250!!
I am so happy with all good buys and I am also an Aussino member!
It's a bit lengthy, but I thought it might be useful to some friends who are preparing for their future too.. Ha... Just one word of advice. Become a member of useful stores TODAY!!! Wahaha...
This post is not ending yet...
On Sunday as well....
curtains and blinds were installed....
Tadah.....
The highly efficient people from Jimmy Textiles. Thank you.
At least, I am glad with whatever is done so far...... =)

Monday, 29th September. Thunderstorm!
For the house
1. The man was here to replace a chipped tile in the living room. It was so much work just to redo ONE tile!!! He took almost an hour to just remove it!! Imagine if there were 5 hollow tiles!!
2. The people from the Jimmy Textiles were up to take measurement and match the selected curtains and roller blind. The on-site correspondent named Mr Kong was very experienced. He helped very much in the process of choosing the one by explaining and describing the effects and results due to different colors and texture. 2 thumbs up!
For the wedding
Final fitting was fabulous!
1. What coincident to meet Sabrina there, accompanying her sister and future brother-in-law. They are going to Macau for wedding photoshoot! Wow!
2. Roses made of the same material were added to the EG. They were awesome!
3. I requested to try EG with can-can, that gives a little A at the bottom. Instantly, EG looks grander.
4. Pink sash removed from WG. Crystals supposed to be beaded as replacement. Incompleted. Alteration was not well fitted.
5. Outdoor gown was well altered instead. Ha! I chose another blue EG for the outdoor.
6. Bf will be wearing TUX for the photoshoot!! Modern on of cos! Not magician TUX k...
7. Sorted out matching shirt for his MTM suit and my different EG and WG to be worn on photoshoot day!
8. Lastly and finally, together, we tried on some wedding bands at Love & Co. and Sookee Jewellery.

Backdated
Dated: 22nd September 2008.
Venue: Swissotel Merchant Court
The food tasting was generally ok. The seafood was fresh and hope they could maintain what was served on the actual day.
The favor was unfavorable and limited to choices.
Both parents met officially for the first time. It was cohesive, they had more than just our wedding to talk about. The discussion turned out vague to us but the parents seemed to already know among themselves.
We were both too tired to get involved. Simply leave it to the folks.
Let's embrace for next challenging phase..

For the First Time..
Oh.. The food tasting is tomorrow... Both our parents are going to meet officially for the first time!! EEeeWwww...!!!!
I wonder what is there to expect? EeeeWwwww....!!
Nearing the finishing line.
When we thought the house is officially completed, damn it, our ID still sees problem with the door to the kitchen which was already changed once, and the TV console was too small for the amplifier. ;(
They miscalculated the sockets that took up the spaces within. Carpenter is coming up tomorrow to resolve these problems. Poor mr groom-to-be has to be at the house immediately after he returns.
Lastly, I must comment the wallpaper man engaged by our ID was not skillful at all. He gave us headache big time. All he told us was, he scared liao, wanted to cry liao... Well, but in the first place if he could do a good job, we will definitely not call for him again. I am not exaggerating, the wallpaper could be seen torn on the feature. Giving him the benefit of doubt that he could be very shagged already, but that was not professional enough!. mr groom-to-be gave it to our ID, telling him that it's not an excuse and there are leftover wallpapers, he could just redo it with them.
That's all the reason why, the house is dragged to complete.
Time is so running out...

See The Big Picture.
From planning the large layout to shrinking down to small details, I choose to look at it as a big picture. Yup, I am talking about our home.
I did the first round of cleaning with the help of my mum and dad. Dad vacuumed, mum mopped, I wiped. Dad spotted a few things that could cause problem in future. Have I ever mentioned before that my dad was a carpenter? His job now is still pretty related to renovation. And these problems he identified seemed major to me. And there come small details at unnoticeable corners and edges.
However , it looks totally alright to me if I am going to see it as a whole, ignoring unsightly corners, pretend I do not know about them, just letting them be there. I hate to go through amendments and changes. I shall leave the picking and feedback to my bf. Just let my duty be taking care of the wedding, I am a happier girl that way. Hehe...
There are still good things and work done in the house. Perhaps I shall share more of the positive in my next entry.
My purchased at Evov, refrigerator and washing machine will come in on Thursday.... It's going to be a styling day.

Such complete day.
Phew.... It's been a long day...
At 11:30am, I was at our future home running through minor details of the house with our ID. Mr Bf came later with pails, mops, brooms and cloth like a cleaner. They are meant for us to clean the house on Saturday, or rather me. The hanging lights were up. Hanging lights were one of the cheapest and best deal of the whole house so far. I am glad they turn out beautiful.
From there, we drove to Hoe Kee at Jalan Besar to purchase both toilets accessories. We have almost settle everything except a mirror for the common toilet. Do you all know, toilet accessories have trends and design too? The latest toilet paper holder is erected instead of the horizontal one we are familiar with. I think I would have removed the toilet roll out of it if I would have seen it somewhere. I thought I have seen it in one of the hotels and did that. Ha.
Anyway, this toilet accessories shopping was smooth. After that, on the way, we went Xessex to pick up our wallpaper at Park Mall. Ordered them through Tiff's hubby. Hope he does not find me a difficult customer. Haha...
By 4pm, we were at Tg Pagar. Yes at our bridal shop for a trial make up, evening gown fitting, and photoshoot gown selections.
I have no complain about my MTM evening gown. It turns out like what we have discussed and the shade of red, Yvonne, the lady boss chose is pretty. It just need a bit of alteration here and there to make it perfect. In addition, we decided to have no can can and no beadings. A little flower made from the same cloth will be added onto it. Bf likes it.. I like it.
I brought along the heels I have bought. It wins many compliments. It's such a relief as I am still worried the blink is going to be too much. I bought it because the many salesgirls still think it looks the nicest on my feet after trying a few pairs, so I went along with the majority. Say that I am one with no opinion but it's totally fine with me. :p I fell in love with another covered toe heels, too. White with a flower at the front. Sweet. However, it's a little pricey to consider.
He had also tried on a jacket and collected his pants which he thought was pretty well done and can wear it for work too. Yvonne had already something in mind to dress up my bf on the big day to match my gowns even.
I must say it's really pleasant so far.
The following plan is to collect our FAT BOY from Molecule. In addition, we bought a double side clock.
It is such a fulfilling day. So many things were done with. "Stretch and Yawnz.."
Shall sleep soon, in order to walk more walks. =)
Good night, world.

The White and Grey Theme.
Our home.... It's almost there....
The theme begins from the entrance to the house.
Silver grill and white wooden door.
