Sisters' Dresses

Saturday, 30th August was supposed to be a Fabric Hunt Day.

All my dearies only arrived one after another, hence, Qing, Feng and me sat down at a Jap cafe for lunch and dessert first. It's still the 3 of us after lunch, so we decided to take a walk at BHG to try on some different cuttings dresses.

We flipped and scanned through the different racks of clothes. We found this rack of dresses that comes in same fabric and colors but different cuttings. What was more that there is a promotion of getting the 2nd piece at less 40%. The two girls began their tries. Gradually, the girls arrived one by one, and tried.

Due to out of stock for sizes and new pieces, we made a trip down to another branch at Takashimaya. Over there, there were more stocks and the sales staffs were much friendlier and helpful. By the end of the day, not only we got dresses for all, we even fulfilled our shopping desire.

It was such a lucky day. Each dress only costs $55 after the less 40% while tailor without material already costs $60. The girls have no opinions about it and all of them managed to find something that suited their body shape.

Perhaps, if it had not because of some girls were late, we may not have spotted the steal. I hope you all do like what you have gotten even though it might not be the nicest and of the best material.

Thank you girls, it had been a fun day shopping together.

It just did not work out.

There's never one time I felt light-hearted after I visited the new house that is still in progress. Is this a normal symptom?

There seemed too many things to penalize. I have no more opinions about it anymore.
Let it be just a dreadful experience. An experience that sucks big time.

Too many things to yell at...

That I do not know how to even write and tell.

I want to give my ID a good comment.

He did not make my job easy to.

All of us were just not meticulous enough.

Too many things to yell at...

Almost there.

The carpentry has completed. I am quite pleased to see the shoe cabinet's doors are changed and the kitchen cabinet was amended to move the oven slightly higher, instead of sitting on the floor previously.

My father is going to fix the solid surface top tomorrow, follow by the plumber to come in, the electrical man to put up our hanging lights and lastly would be the air-condition. Our pole system wardrobe by OPSH should begin work within this week.

When all of these are completed, the wall covering for the few features will follow.

Our ID aimed to handover the house next week. However, tentatively we set it on 11th September.

Finally!

Pretty Wrist Corsages.

I googled for "how to make a wrist corsage" and see what I have found?!

Still googling for more surprises, instead of the conventional ones. I wish I could personally make one for every sisters. So pretty....

His Suit.

Date: as above
Weather: Rain

Today, we went to Men's Tailor at Peninsula Shopping Centre. Daniel, is the tailor. I think he is around his late 40s. He speaks fluent english and a very spontaneous man. He looks swanky wearing a black shirt and a pair of Armani jeans. His shop was busy today. Customers came in one after another, but he neither sounds nor look arrogant or impatient.

He picked out a few colors of cloth for bf. They were made of full cashmere or cashmere with silk. He said he sees bf in those. One in charcoal, another one in brown. Yucks, you might be thinking "Brown?!" Hold on a minute, the brown is so dark that you cannot even tell and it shines and looks so classy. However, for a safer move, DK picked the charcoal as at the same time, a customer was trying his suit in the same material and color. Slim cut and modern. He jokingly told us,"Don't ask me to do baggy... I don't know how to do." That's quite funny when it came from him.

He took DK measurement. It should be ready in 2 weeks time. Speedy...

Nothing much is done yet.

Even though, ID told us carpentry will start on 12th, the carpenter did not turn up after the surprise on Monday. ID thought he disappeared too, then he found out he went for Fire Safety course.

Thinking work should commence on Wednesday, very excitedly, we went up to take a look and only the doors for the rooms were fixed. Very puzzled.

On Thurs, before I leave for work in the evening, I met ID at my house. He had an appointment with the carpenter and I am waiting for Hoe Kee's delivery. The carpenter turned up late, and Hoe Kee's men came shortly after and earlier than scheduled.

Together, the carpenter, ID and me went through some minor details together. After the discussion, the carpenter left the house together with us. My ID was also wandering when he is going to start work. He told us he has the Fire test, need to go home and revise. I predict, there are going to be delay again.

Anyway, just some random photos with my mobile phone.

On the left: I fell in love with the laminate that I have the urge to tell carpenter I want to change!
On the right: My Teka(s) are here.

The fabricated carpentries, waiting to be fixed on.

Kitchen!!

MBR toilet bowl and tap. They were demonstrating the position of the tap. Yes, the trend now is by the side. But ID says, out tap is square, it will look nicer in the center. Ok. I let him have the call.

On Monday, I hope to see some progress. Can't wait. I'll be back!

Mama & Misses

Another Cheongsam specialist to consider. It's called Mama & Misses run by mum and daughter.

It was Mazzario we went to the last time. Mazzario's designer herself, is a young and fashionable lady. Her designs are bold and modern, almost every pieces tried on created a "wow" factor. However, the materials used are not so good.

At Mama & Misses, designs are less bold. Their target clients are wider. Materials are definitely nicer than Mazzario's. We met the Mama today. She gave a few remarks on how a bride's mum should carry herself on the daughter's wedding day and then picked a few cheongsams which she thought will suit my mum. Indeed, they are mostly elegant. I realised, my mum still has a beautiful body shape.

Nothing very WOW for me. From the understanding, Misses is still student who is studying fashion design. She will only be around on Friday and Saturday. Mama told me her daughter can help better in choosing material that match the taste of young people like me. =) At least, I already have an idea of what kind of cheongsam I want to make. It's going to be halter, low back and higher than knee length.

Mama & Misses is pretty worth considering too.

Evening Gown

Decisions been made for the Evening gown to made-to-measure. Initially, I was quite worried that my fickle mind is going to play tricks with me. Fortunately, YC has one evening gown that is quite similar to one that I quite like in the magazine.

Yvonne describe it as classic, elegant and smart, unnecessary details will spoil the dress. Not much hassle, we chose the colors and made a little amendment to it. Yvonne drew very nicely on sketch, hope it will look as nice in real.

Fitting and trial make up on 8th September! Thank god it is so far so good. =)
